Does annual wildflower mean that the wild flowers will grow again every year?
Question by: Kristín on 4 Jun 2022, 19:43
Hi Kristin,

Thank you for your question. Annual wildflowers typically only have one showing, but you can get them to come back with a little bit of work! In short, once the annual wildflowers have come to the end of their blooming season, their petals will start to crisp up and become brown - this means your annual wildflower has gone to seedhead and will be full of seeds. You can either collect these by hand and save them in a brown envelope to sow again the following season, or you can shake the seeds out and firm them into the soil. This will help your annuals to come back the following year! We do have a full guide on how to do this here;

Can I just add these to my garden or do I have clear it first?

Hi, thank you for your question.

Our recommendation is that you do not try to sow wildflower seed into an existing lawn.
For your sowing to be successful, the area should be clear of grass, weeds or any other flora.

Hi, I sowed this around 2 weeks ago but nothing has came up yet. Should I wait a bit longer or is there something wrong?
