How long should I wait after using this to let my kids and dog onto my grass?
Question by: Nicolle Magee on 10 Aug 2021, 15:05
Hi Nicolle Magee,

Thank you for your question. It is best to keep traffic off the lawn for as long as you can while the seed grows. It takes 6-8 weeks for your lawn to be fully grown, so keep this in mind when deciding to sow.

I hope this helps, if you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask here or email us at help@icanlawn.com ☺️

My puppy is killing my grass with urine what seed would withstand this?
Question by: Susan on 23 Sept 2021, 08:11
Hi Susan,

Thanks for your message. All grass will succumb to the high nitrogen content in dog urine if not diluted with water. Yellow / burnt / dry patches appear on your lawn when your dog urinates. The nitrogen in the urine burns the grass, and no grass will withstand this. However, if you water the area where your dog has urinated, the nitrogen will not burn your lawn and will instead act as a lawn feed making your grass very green. Likewise, if there is rainfall during this time it will have the same effect. If you have missed this step and have burnt patches in your lawn, you should repair them with a hard-wearing, fast growing seed - such as our Tough Stuff Lush Lawn.

How long will this take to grow
Question by: Mary Cassidy on 1 Apr 2022, 13:13
Hi Mary, thanks for your question. Our lawn seed normally takes 6-8 weeks before it has fully grown. Make sure you sow your lawn at the right temperatures, and water it frequently so it has the best chance at growth.

Question by: Sophie on 26 May 2023, 15:03
Hi Sophie, thank you for your question.

Whilst we appreciate this can be difficult, for best results we recommend keeping any pets of the lawn, at least for the first few weeks.
You could try to fence it off using some string and bamboo sticks until the grass is established. In the meantime. you could increase their daily walks which will help keep them active - and off your your new lawn
